Update on our vB4 service.

Dear customers,

We had great expectations same as you, waiting to get our hands on vB4 gold and start our service to custom design skins for clients
like you, but the vB4 gold was a huge disappointment with lot of bugs not ironed out and was not advisable to use in live forums...

Then came the announcement at vB.com that a designer friendly version of 4.0.2 will be released in due course middle of Jan10 and decided to wait until the 4.0.2 is out, but they postponed the release twice and currently its schedule to be somewhere around by next week end...

Actually i am not worried about the postponed release of 4.0.2 version but the fact as far we understand even the 4.0.2 version will not be up to our expectations(info collected from internal reliable sources), i mean bugs free stable version and moreover it will not be a designer friendly version...

We are unable to make a decision or plan when to start our service for vB4 and current situations happening in vB.com seems not much favorable at the moment for designer like us and we are left in dark when vb.com will release a friendly version, whether it would be 4.0.3 or 4.0.4 or 4.0.5

For the above reasons we are not accepting any new jobs for skinning vb4 versions until we find a favorable designer friendly version to be released by vB.com developers...

Also please note after reading the above, do not come to a conclusion that vB4 is not a good software script, what we mean is the current version is not a stable and bug free, coding custom skin for vb4 is nightmare, but once they solve all known bugs and organize the template engine more designer friendly then we are sure vB4 will be the best ever forum script in the market and the most powerful one...

Until then we will continue to work for 3.8x version only...

The new version came out and I know you said you're likely to wait till the next version but could you let me know officially if you are. I'd love for my site to be skinned by you for vb4 and would likely order as soon as it becomes available.

We are more likely to start our vB4 custom service from 4.0.3 version, as we got news that the next step after the release of 4.0.2 the vB developers will be working/fixing on the stylevar issues and 4.0.3 will be designer friendly...
